Singapore has a huge zoo that covers over 200 acres in the rainforest. Instead of ugly, wide walkways, it has narrow and winding paths through the jungle. The animals aren’t behind fences but are instead separated by small motes and ravines and walking through feels closer to a jungle trek than a zoo. The best part is, they offer night tours.
Heading into the jungle at night, in search of large and exotic animals, felt a bit like jurassic park. No one was eaten, although you can go watch the lions feed in the dark.
